In Animal Farm, there is an election between Napoleon and Snowball and the animals are being forced to choose between them. In my opinion, I'm voting for Snowball mainly because of his work ethic. He works hard to progress the farm for the future with big ideas, along with trying to lower the amount of work doled out to the animals. another reason I prefer Snowball over Napoleon is that he's a fast thinker. Snowball's strategies have successfully gotten the animals through the Battle of the Cowshed. He wants to improve the animals lives, even though he's using manipulation against them. He uses fear to keep the animals in line but then again, he's trying to better himself to make the others safer. I'm currently on the fence about his character since I suspect he's going to be overpowered by manipulation. Hopefully he stays fair, as he would be a great leader in place of Major.
Changing the world with one dream is entirely possible, since the idea of touching the hearts of thousands, inspiring the young and creating a new beginning for a troubled time seems brilliant to most people. One dream can change the way we think and accept new ideas. Dreams have saved us from the issue-riddled world that surrounds us in a cloud of hate, racism, sexism and violence. We need the dreamers, the peacemakers and thinkers to pull us out of that negative mind space. We need to see the good in things, as there is so much good that is overlooked. Social media tends to focus on subjects that cause a feed of backlashing opinions, which could easily be avoided. Imagine how many young dreamers haven't been discovered for their bright outlook that focuses on the progression of good. In the end, they might be the key to a better education system, government, informal scientific discoveries or advancing our medical diagnostics.
-------------------------------------------------------------------- I would change the world in a way that would help prevent violence, whether it's physical assault or online harassment. There are too many outlets that allow reckless arguments to break out about politics, religion or other things that could be debated. Honestly people are so opinionated that they can create an argument out of anything just to create meaningless issues. I know that people have their own respected opinions but one too many times we have turned to physical violence, thinking it would solve our own issues. Obviously we cannot rid the world of violence forever but we can put forth effort to dilute the amount growing in today's society. Recently the violence/crime rates have been at an all-time high, which needs to be dealt with eventually. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh how I wish there was a magic cleaner to wash away anxiety.. The dreaded feeling can overwhelm me some days. Anxiety is something that can be easily overlooked in a lot of people, which is quite unfortunate for the ones who suffer from severe cases. If you don't see it, it's not there. The anxiety cleaner would definitely help put a lot of people at ease. I'm not entirely sure if this is supposed to be an advertisement for a product that may never exist, but I do understand that anything is possible. The anxiety cleaner would suppress that fear and worry away, as if it'd never existed in the first place.
So why anxiety? I could've washed away anything in the world, so why anxiety? I've been really struggling with my own personal composure lately since my friend is also going through the ringer with mental problems. I'm an empath, so I often mistake other people's problems as mine. Like any other mental issues, anxiety is a serious thing. It can range from something so simple like worrying about a test that you ended up passing on, to being encapsulated by fear or tormenting thoughts constantly. In the end, the anxiety fades on it's own but the anxiety cleaner is still there, just in case. I am thankful for my close friends. I call them close because we've been friends since middle school and somehow we still keep in touch a lot. It's been a little rough since starting high school, but we manage. We all have such different lives, always swamped with homework, theatre, debate competitions or band practice. I'm thankful that I'm still friends with them because high school is definitely difficult sometimes and they've made my life better in all aspects.
I like to think I'm pretty good at some things, like drawing, music, anything in that area. I try to stay in that bubble of safety when it comes to hobbies; not that I'm scared of trying that new game, or hopping into a volleyball game. It's mainly because I end up failing miserably at doing anything athletic or sports related. I try and participate in some things, but mostly I watch safely In the stands, or sidelines. My happy place is inside, painting or sketching while listening to music and that's okay. I know that some of my friends prefer being outside, sweating and throwing a ball, or running endless laps around the football field but sorry, I'm just not about that life. I would definitely like to be a little more sports oriented but for right now, I'm okay where I am.
--------------------------------------------------------------------- I think a sloth would represent me! Sloths are actually one of my favorite animals and I really enjoy just hanging out and not doing anything for a whole day! I tend to procrastinate when it comes to chores and other things since I end up lying on my bed, looking at Instagram! Sloths only sleep about 10 hours a day and I usually don't get that much sleep on school nights since I tend to stay up late watching Netflix or doing art. That means that I sleep as much as I can on the weekends and start the whole cycle again! Some days when I can't sleep, I'll usually stay up to see the sunrise in the morning. That happens too often I believe.. There are nights where I don't sleep at all, waiting for the sun to pull me out of the darkness. My favorite days look like a painting; bright orange bursts and cotton candy clouds scattered through the sky. Other days during winter, there's nothing but light grey clouds tacked to the sun. The sunrise is something I look forward to, even if it's only a glance as I'm off to school.
